Hello guys,
I´m currently dealing with a steady - pseudo transient simulation of a 3d case to reach finally the steady state. I´m using a VOF model, since there is a free surface.
In the settings (solution control) there´s a Courant number related to the volume fraction, which is 200 by default. Is this related with the pseudo time steps?
I´m using automatic pseudo timesteps, so i´m wandering if using a certain value of the volume fraction courant number can influence them, like limiting them or something like that.
Actually i´ve seen my simulation goes to divergence if I set this courant number higher than 4 (i also had to set the default URF lower).
Any help is appreciated to let me understand better this kind of simulation.
Thanks
