Hi,
I am new to modeling moving mesh in ANSYS Fluent. I am working on a 2-D model of cylinder-piston. It has air inside the cylinder (static condition). I need to move the piston and compress the air. There is no inlet or outlet for air. I have to apply a load of 1000N on the piston and I have to analyse the pressure of the air which is exerted on the piston when it moves to BDC. I have made a separate part for air and gave it properties of air. Also, I have set the mesh motion conditions for air (say velocity = 10 m/s in vertical direction). I could not find any feature or option to apply body load on piston. Even if I set frame motion to Piston, It does not displace. Can anyone help me with this. I have attached screenshots to describe the model and also the flow because of the mesh motion of air. |
