Hi there,
I was wondering if anyone could help me with the following question. I'm modelling the flow in an enclosed channel, and I'm trying to get an area weighted average of the flow velocity in an area downstream of an obstruction. The channel is aligned along the z-axis, and ideally, I'd like to get the area weighted average of a portion of a channel section, not across the entire channel. Ideally, I'd like to get the area weighted average across a circle parallel to the XY plane, with radius and Z-offset from the origin that I can define. I'm sure it must be possible to do this in Fluent, but I can't find out how. Unfortunately, I haven't included these surfaces as named selections in my setup, I hope this won't be a problem, as the run has just finished after 4 weeks! Many thanks in advance! |
