I want to add NOx model based on a transient single coal particle combustion model, but I am a bit confused about the steps introduced by the User's Guide.

Step 1: Calculate your combustion problem using Fluent as usual;
Step 2: Enable NOx models.
...
Step 5: Run calculation
...

Does it mean that enable and run NOx model after finishing running usual combustion problem or run the two model together by setting them together through step 1 and 2?

I will be greatly appreciated if anyone can help. Thanks a lot.

The NOx model in Fluent is a post-processor. You run the NOx model after you have solved the reacting flow-field. Run them separately.

Thanks a lot.

But the problem is that, as my model is about burning a single coal particle under transient, if I ran NOx model after the particle had burned out, there was no NO ppm reported; if I ran NOx model together with combustion model, there was NO ppm reported...So, I am quite confused...

PS: I set the NOx model followed the steps in tutorial.
