Hey, i'm working on simulation of gas turbine blade cooling and currently trying to simulate the film cooling in ANSYS Fluent. right now my blade geometry is kinda rough and i have created one internal passage and 3 row of holes on outer surface of blade.
i have attached images to explain my geometry and boundary condition. There's only one outlet for both inlets i.e. inlet for air over the turbine and inlet for flow thorough internal passage. The main problem i'm facing is that air which flows through internal passage is not completely coming out of all film cooling holes, its just coming out of some of the holes. Can anyone plz help ASAP? boundary_conditions.PNG inlet for cooling.PNG |

This might be a bit too late but just in case, anyone is stuck with such a scenario again.
The Coolant gets sucked towards some holes and is not uniformly exiting all the holes because of the pressure difference between the hole exit and the main coolant inlet. Calculate the pressure ratio at the hole exit to the main coolant inlet and plot this in the vicinity of coolant hole exits. May be this plot can give you a better understanding. |
