Hey everyone,
I've got a really stupid question right here: I am modeling a biomass fueled boiler in Fluent. I've got a solution for the combustion, only the gas volume was meshed up. Now I want to apply the total surface heat flux from that solution to the model of the boilers waterjacket. Problem is: The heat flux is coming out of the gas volume, so it's negative, and the water in the solution is not heated up, it's cooled down! I know I could open the profile file and delete the negative sign for every result but there are about 300.000 faces and I really got better things to do. Does anyone know a better solution for this problem? Thank you very much for saving my weekend! |

Make a custom field function and set it equal to - your heat flux or abs() if that's what you need. then export your custom field function. This let's you get it out of the 1st, hopefully you can figure out how to import this into your 2nd simulation.

I've studied the users guide for Fluent and I think I am able to do it this way.
Thank you very much for your help! |
