Hello all,
I am quite stuck in the adjoint solver. Is it possible to optimize the twist of a wing without changing the camber and chord for the airfoil while doing 3d wing optimization in adjoint solver? Any ideas would be appreciable!! Thanks, |

Try out CAESES

You can define the wing model without changing camber or chord and apply a twist to the profile. You can even map the adjoint solution to the parametric model (the latter is only available in the commercial version). If you are a student you can get a full license that allows that, too.

Hi dear friend,
I have the same problem. Did you manage to keep the airfoil chord and camber fixed and unchanged while optimizing ? |

HI there,
Here is an example of a parametric wing in CAESES that allows to change the angle of the wing along the span and keeps the same chord and camber. Cheers Claus PS: if you want to have the project file for CAESES, get in touch with me via contact form on our website, please. |
