nova.08 is on a distinguished road
Hey there,
I`m currently working on the TUREK/HRON Benchmark to proof those results with a Systemcoupling using the ANSYS Workbench. I couple with the Structural Mechnics and FLuent.
My Problem is when I load my Mesh from ICEM into Fluent and configure my Setup I get an ERROR thrown by Fluent while I try to preview the dynamic mesh which says:

Updating mesh to time XXX... Skewness exceeded 0.98 at 132254 cells on thread ID = 15.
WARNING: 132241 cells with non-positive volume detected.
Error: Update-Dynamic-Mesh failed. Negative cell volume detected.

CHECK-MESH gives me the following lines:

Domain Extents:
x-coordinate: min (m) = -9.976949e-02, max (m) = 2.610000e-01
y-coordinate: min (m) = -1.200000e-01, max (m) = 1.200000e-01
z-coordinate: min (m) = -5.000000e-03, max (m) = 5.000001e-03
Volume statistics:
WARNING: 132241 cells with non-positive volume detected.
minimum volume (m3): -2.592425e-08
maximum volume (m3): 8.699847e-09
total volume (m3): 6.574907e-06
Face area statistics:
minimum face area (m2): 3.588693e-09
maximum face area (m2): 3.389876e-05
Checking mesh..........
WARNING: left-handed faces detected on zone 16: 1055473 right-handed, 395885 left-handed.
WARNING: left-handed faces detected on zone 21: 797 right-handed, 11 left-handed.
WARNING: left-handed faces detected on zone 22: 1170 right-handed, 390 left-handed.
Info: Used modified centroid in 9 cell(s) to prevent left-handed faces.
.......
WARNING: The mesh contains high aspect ratio quadrilateral,
hexahedral, or polyhedral cells.
The default algorithm used to compute the wall
distance required by the turbulence models might
produce wrong results in these cells.
Please inspect the wall distance by displaying the
contours of the 'Cell Wall Distance' at the
boundaries. If you observe any irregularities we
recommend the use of an alternative algorithm to
correct the wall distance.
Please select /solve/initialize/repair-wall-distance
using the text user interface to switch to the
alternative algorithm.
.........
Periodic zone 23: x-translation: min (m) = 0.000000e+00, max (m) = 0.000000e+00
y-translation: min (m) = 0.000000e+00, max (m) = 0.000000e+00
z-translation: min (m) = -1.000000e-02, max (m) = 0.000000e+00
Done.

WARNING: Mesh check failed.

To get more detailed information about the mesh check failure
increase the mesh check verbosity via the TUI command
/mesh/check-verbosity.

My Problem i, that I have no idea how to find out where the negativ cell volume should be and how I am able to solve this issue?!

I would be very thankfull if anybody could help because I was sitting for hourse :-/
If needed I can post my ICEM File and the CASE file or send it to you guys.

Thank you in advance!

Best wishes!
