Hi,
I am simulating a turbine in Fluent and I have used periodic condition in this turbine and numerical cells in the middle part of the computational domain rotate together with the blades of the turbine. when I select "Display>view>periodic repeats>rotational>set", the whole computational domain is not created!! and the whole domain rotate in direction of other axes with selecting these options. I could create whole computational domain before applying Rotary inner domain. Why does this happen? Periodic boundaries are applied on the pairs of surfaces which constitute the circumferential sides of the domain.(please see the following figure) the turbine is as follow: Another question: When I import msh file in fluent, some notes are Saw (please see the following figure). I want to know that these notes are for what and Are these notes related to periodic condition? these notes have not made any problem and in fact, I can set fluent and i simulate my model. but I think that rotary inner domain influence on whole computational domain, because whole computational domain is not created with applying mentioned options( "Display>view>periodic repeats>rotational>set") when I created rotary inner domain. Thanks, Best, Aja Last edited by aja1345; August 9, 2015 at 10:16. |
