Hello everyone,
I'm new both in using Fluent and in this forum... and, about the firstone, I got a problem that I'm not able to solve myself yet, that's why I would be honoured to receive your help.

I'm following this tutorial https://confluence.cornell.edu/displ...pe+Flow+-+Mesh and after succesfully meshing the pipe, I get a message when I try to update my project. In particular it says:

"The Setup component in Fluid Flow (Fluent) requires user input before it can be updated."

I tried to google it and to look for it in this forum as well but the answers I found are either too dispersive or too difficult to understand for me at this moment.

Could you give me some advices please?

Thanks in advance!

did you initialise the solver run? Did you set up the boundary conditions and the materials? Did you put in a number for iterations, its 0 by default? And you have to tell it, what kind of simulation to run. Somewhere at those first steps you get that error. Remember faintly, did just CFX until recently

Hello Steffen and thanks for your answer.
I just followed the tutorial and at the end everything worked but the software kept giving me the same message all the times and even in further tutorial same message shows up at the same point but it doesn't seem to bother.

I cant remember, when exactly this happened. Somewhere when I used Fluent the 1st time. Not getting that message again.
Maybe something missing at the material properties, if you use air default. Maybe start from scratch and work your way through the tutorial again. Read all the little details. I just want in, because I did CFX before, but that does not ask that many questions.
Or do a simple simulation, just flow through a pipe, and fill in all the bits you think are necessary. I think it would start nagging, when something is missing.
