Hello to all,
I have i7 2600 CPU with 8 cores. I want to run two cases (each one using 4 cores), because I notice that running with 4 cores just increase simulation time about 20% in comparison with using the all 8 cores. Therefore, it would be faster to run 2 simulations with 4 cores at the same time than 2 sequential simulations using 8 cores. However, we i try to run two simulations with 4 cores, the PC crashes which i believe its due to the lower memory RAM, 8 GB. I tried to run fluent from the cmd line without the GUI, but i didn't find any decrease in memory usage. Does any one have some suggestions for decreasing the memory RAM usage of Fluent? Thks! |
