I want to use DPM model to conduct the simulation of coal combustion and now I met two problems.
1) material properties of coal_hv According to proximate analysis, there are Moisture, Volatile, Fixed Carbon and Ash. I chose "coal_hv" as material under Combusting--Injection--DPM, but I found I could define "Volatile Component Fraction" and "Combustible Fraction" of "coal_hv" under "Materials". So do I need to define the fraction of Moisture and Ash? If so, how can I do? 2) chemical reactions For the chemical reactions related to coal combustion (e.g. C + O2 = CO2 & C + 0.5O2 = CO & C + CO2 = 2CO & C + H2O = CO + H2), I want to define the reaction rate by my own udf code. But I couldn't find where to define these chemical reactions and then choose the reaction rate. P.S. I didn't enable Multipahse Model, so I couldn't define reactions through "Reactions--Phases". Thank you very much. |

are you simulate combustion coal from exhaust stack?
