I know all state variables at air and fuel inlets of chamber (plain cylinder). I enter air flow rate, T, and hydraulic diameter in boundary conditions. Values that FLUENT calculates are way off; i.e. inlet air velocity reference value over 600m/s, which ~matches (wrong) contour results, but actual velocity should be 161m/s. I am sure my calculated initial conditions are correct.
Just started Fluent this week because I have no idea how to solve state variables at end of combustion chamber based on initial with pen and paper. I went through a few Fluent tutorials from SimCafe and other sites but still much guessing. I appreciate anyone that can help with at least somewhat accurate cfd or math to find end conditions, especially velocity and T. |

Nevermind, think I got it. Keep initial pressure constant in hybrid initialization settings and specify velocity for air and fuel inlets. Correct me if I'm wrong.
