Hi,
I'm working on a convective heat transfer problem. The task is to calculate Nusselt number in a tube after adding a Twisted Tape. The main problem is that I keep getting a high Nusselt number compared to the experimental results. Could help me with this problem Thank you in advance. |

questions I would ask would be:
1. have you performed a grid independence study ? 2. what type of turbulence model are you using ? are the near-wall conditions appropriate ? are you using a model that resolves the boundary layer directly ? 3. Have you set the boundary conditions appropriately ? if the heat exchange method is through the wall, does your model take into account all of the heat transfer resistances alt can you show on paper that the liquid film is the largest heat transfer resistance in the model ? |
