Hello
This is my first post here so please bear with my inexperience. I am trying to simulate flow of air and water in a packed bed using a transient Eulerian-multiphase 3D model. Since the flow is at low Reynolds number, hence it is safe to assume that liquid film will form at the wall of the column. To account this as a boundary condition, I activated the Eulerian Wall Film model using the default settings (momentum equation was not solved). Whenever I start the simulation, it goes fine for the first time step (during which it converges). However as the second time-step is about to start, it gives an error and stops the simulation. Strangely, the error differs on whether I am using Series FLUENT or Parallel FLUENT. For series configuration, it gives an ACCESS_VIOLATION error while for parallel configuration, it gives the following error : "MPI application rank 0 exited before MPI_FINALIZE() with status -1073741819" The case is running fine after I disable the Eulerian Wall Film model. Can someone please tell me what may be causing the problem and the corresponding solution. Thanks in advance |
