I am trying to learn the basics of convective+radiative heat transfer to surroundings. For this I modeled a basic 10 mm thick flat plate and positioned it with its thickness facing the flow.
I created the air mesh around it using Boolean operation with a enclosure size of 200mm(uniform). Then I assigned the front end(enclosure) as inlet, rear as outlet and the sides of the plate as heat flux by named selections. Then I proceeded as usual with pressure based, steady state, absolute velocity. For Models, I turned on Energy, K-E realizable, Radiation P1. As for Air coefficients I fed 0.001 as absorption coefficient, 0 as scattering and emissivity as 1. Boundary condtions - Velocity inlet - 17m/s Pressure outlet - 0 Pa Heat flux - 3.2 e6 W/m^2 Rest all proceeded with default standard and Hybrid initialization. AMG Solver detects Divergence Temperature within two iterations. How do I overcome it? P.S: I'm a novice. Thanks in advance. |
