hi friends,
i m running a transient VOF simulation of a microchannel laminar flow using explicit scheme in ANSYS FLUENT. actually the flow is expected to attain steady state after some time. i selected transient+explicit to get accurate interfaces. 1.in this case how can i confirm that the flow has reached steady state?.which variable should i monitor for this? 2.also it is taking too much time since i m using a very small time step(1e-9)due to courant number limitations.is there any other method to get a fast convergence without loosing interface quality very much? thanks.... |
