Hi all,
I have questions regarding on the mesh and near wall treatment selection: If I a refined boundary layer mesh and I choose k-epsilon model, then what is the near wall treatment should I choose? Or How fluent will work with this case? If I choose enhanced wall treatment, is it that two layer model will applied to resolve turbulent quantities (with inner layer using a one equation model to compute turbulent viscosity while for the outer layer turbulent viscosity is computed from governing equations) ? But I am confused if I enable low Re k-epsilon model, does it mean the the turbulent viscosity is computed all the way from the wall from governing equation? And what's the case for k-w model? If I choose low Re correction, it works the same like low Re k-epsilon model? While without choosing, it just applies the two layer model computing turbulent quantities? Thanks. |
