negative volume ..,mesh update failed

i have been encountering this pbm . my case is a sinusoidal accelerated boundary wall .. is there any specific criteria to enhance the meshing ?

Try setting a really small time step, so that the mesh does not move more than a single cell.

i tried lower time steps.. will mesh morphing helps??

I'm not sure mesh morphing will help.
I suggest you to check where are your negative volumes. Try doing a plot of volume (with different iso-values). Then check if there are some left-handed cells. If so, I think you can repair them with in the command line with /grid/modify-zones/repair-face-handedness Hope this helps. |
