Hi everybody!
I am a student and I try to setup non-Newtonian fluids in hydrocyclone separator. But it still does not work. I read some information on the internet. It used k-epsilon model,But I want to use reynold stress model for it. Please help me. Thanks |

I am running the same problem in CFX. I have found that the Shear Stress Transport (SST) turbulence model with curvature correction (CC) activated simulates the flow well while avoiding the complexities associated with LES or RSM. With that said this is not a trivial solution. Addressing the air core is critical. I have been verifying my model to the original Hsieh experimental data found in his 1988 Disertation. While my velocity proflies match well I am currently having issuses with my calculated pressure drop being too low. The next step is to include the shear-thnning material in my model. My advice would be to model something you can check and read up on the subject, there is a ton of literature out there...
