Hi All,
This is my first post. I am trying to model water flowing through a channel in a metal block. One of the surfaces of the metal block has a heat flux boundary condition of 1000 watt/m2. The remaining sides of the metal block have a convective boundary conditions. Although there is a rise in the temperature of water that leaves the system but it is not substantial. When I look at the heat flux balance it tells me that only around 8 watts of energy is picked up by water. Convective losses through other sides are negligible and the remaining 992 watts of heat is net. That is 992 watts is un accounted for. I would want this net figure of 992 to be zero. ideally I want a result where all the heat being input is lost through convection or wisked away by water. Can you let me know how to achieve this? Best regards |
