Hi everybody.
I have to simulate a water wheel inside a channel. I have some questions and I hope someone will answer me. 1) The rotating domain has an interface in contat with that of the stationary domain (the channel). In the mesh interface option I can't understand which option I have to select among Periodic Boundary Condition, periodic repeat, Coupled wall, Matching or none. 2a) And if I have two different static domain, each of them with a different mesh size? Which option for their interfaces? 2b) In the meshing, it is possible to create on the respective adjacent interfaces the same mesh, in order to have a perfect correspondence? Very thanks |

For the rotating domain then if you have modelled the full 360 degree of the wheel and it is in contact with the fluid domain then you do not need to specify any particular interface treatment. It will just set it up as a non conformal interface. However if you can make sure that the cell size is the same on either side of the interface then this will lead to a more stable solution.
