Hi,

I use FLUENT with CHEMKIN to solve a detailed methane combustion
problem with over 300 reactions including chemiluminescence reactions:

(1) A + B -> C + X*
(2) X* -> X + photon

The problem is that i need to know photons generation rate. However,
CHEMKIN and FLUENT do not consider photon. Therefore I use equation
(2) as follows:

(3) X* -> X

In order to estimate photons generation rate, for me would be enough
to know field distribution of reaction rate (kg/(m^3*s)) of equation (3).

Fluent shows reactions rates when CHEMKIN Mechanism is disabled, but
when CHEMKIN mechanism is enabled, no information about reactions
rate fields are available from Fluent.

So my question is how to find distribution field of reaction rates
when CHEMKIN is enabled?

Sincerely Yours,

Hello EdgarasM,

Could you please tell me how to add chemiluminescence reaction in reduced kinetic mechanism... I tried to add OH* and CH* but fluent shows that no thermodata available, if that is the case where can if find thermodata for OH* an d CH*..?and also how did you consider photon in your reaction.
kindly help me with your ideas .
I know this is an old post. But I need ur help

Thankyou,
Jegan
