Hi
I wish to model a tube flow with porous walls. There is a fluid flowing inside the tube and a fluid flowing outside the tube. I want to model this fluid-fluid interaction that happens through the pores. How do i do it ? Hope someone can help me out. |

Did you try using the porous zone option in cell zone conditions?

Thanks for your reply!
What boundary conditions should i give while meshing it in gambit ? porous jump doesnt seem to work as it shows an error while opening in fluent. I think i have not quite understood the jump boundary condition properly. And regarding your suggestion, my model consists only of porous walls. Will porous zone work for this too ? |

I am not too familiar with Gambit. Also, as far as I know there isn't a porous wall BC. You can create a different part (or body) while meshing it and define the porosity in the cell zone condition.

Hi, I wish, meanwhile you could solve the problem. I have to model a capillary-membrane, whose wall is permeable and the water enters from the right side. Here one has a laminar flow, which means Darcy's law is accepted. I am trying to find out c1, c2, could you please support me with some tipps? best wishes, Venesa |
