hi there,
I would like to monitor the side force in unsteady simulations. I need to monitor the drag force and the side force acting the body during simulation. Since i specified projected area in the direction my drag is acting in the reference values, what i get is the value of my drag forces acting on the body. But the side force values that i got with this area (since Fluent accepts only one reference area value) aren't correct since my area on which the side force is acting is different My query is that 1. With the above mentioned area i.e., the area used to get drag values , can be used to monitor the side force? 2. Do i have to run another simulation with a projected area in the direction in which my side force is acting? |
