Hi all,
I'm modeling a pipe-flow with some static vanes installed in it. I need the flow to be fully developed turbulent when it reaches the vanes. the value of Reynolds number varies between 25,000 to 50,000 in my simulations. Currently my results convergence level vary by changing inlet mass flow rate. I'd like to make sure this problem does not originate from a not fully developed flow right before the vanes. Does anybody have a UDF for a fully developed turbulent 3D flow in a circular pipe? The one in the fluent's help is 2D and I couldn't find a code for 3D case. Also I want the code to account for all turbulence parameters such as kinetic energy and etc. I would appreciate if anybody could send me the UDF along with the required instructions to hook it to the fluent because currently I'm using a 80cm duct to get a fully developed flow and it has increased my computational time considerably. |
