Hi everyone,
i just wanted to ask a general question of the fluent users as to which initialization you have found to be the most effective in terms of reducing total iteration count of your simulations? I am used the PBCS for a turbomachinery flow. My simulation is part of an optimisation routine and so up until this point, i have initializing by interpolating a baseline solution from my baseline geometry for the individual simulations. however, i am interested to know what anybodies experiences are with the FMG and Hybrid approaches in general, and whether either (or none ) is preferred? Also, i am solving using a standard PBCS setup, but am considering psuedo-transient under-relaxation to try to speed things up. Any tipe / advice / experiences anybody would like to share? I am running a couple test cases so in either event i should be able to report back if anybody is interested. take care and thanks cheers jonathan |
