virendra_p is on a distinguished road
hi friends.. good day!!!
i am simulating flow in a pump-sump using VOF model. My geometry has a rect. tank...a cyc. pump and a rect. air domain (over rect. tank)...i have realised transient simulations w/o any problem...( gravity is defined, also buoyancy)........
for steady state simulations gravity is causing some problems !!!!
i) if low gravity values are used (0.001)....simulations work fine
ii) if gravity is increased further....absurd flow patterns are generated

Q1) Should gravity be defined at all???
Q2) Why problem arises only with steady state simulations, and how to resolve it?

THANK YOU!
