Hi all,

I am trying to create a dynamic mesh simulating an engine cylinder.

The starting geometry is a cylinder with radius 38mm and length is 10.6mm ( i calculated this to be the clearance volume)

I enter all the details into the IN Cylinder Options 1500rpm, starting angle 0, crank perioud 720m crank angle step 0.5, crank radius 55.5mm, connecting rod 244mm and no piston offset, cut off or valve lift.

When i preview this motion I expect to see the bottom face expand downwards a distance of 111mm ( my stroke required) yet when it does simulate the distance down is massive.

Does anybody know what could be behind this?

Regards

Jack
