Hello and thanks for reading this!
I have a project which ask me to simulate the flow in an artery bifurcation (one inlet-two outlets). I have done the 2D mesh using ICEM and now i want to calculate the flow of blood throw this artery. The problem is that the minute i begin the calculation i get an instant error "Divergence detected in AMG solver: x-momentum". I'm new in Fluent so i have no experience and i cannot , find the cause of this error. I try changing the URF but no matter what value i choose i get the same error instantly. The conditions i'm sing are: Wall:Non-slip, Stationary. Inlet: Velocity Inlet (Method:Magnitude, Normal to Boundary, Vel.Magnitude=1 constant) OUTLET_1: Pressure-outlet (Gauge Pressure=0) OUTLET_2: Pressure-outlet (Gauge Pressure=0) BODY: Blood (Density:1067, Viscosity:0.004) Then i just change the Solution Initialization to Standard and Compute From Inlet and i press calculate for 200 iterations with time-step 0.01. This is the same procedure we did in the lab for a normal 2d pipe flow with one inlet and one outlet. Can you please enlighten on how i should do my simulation. What parameters i have to change or where the mistake might be. If you want i can also upload the mesh. Link to the image of the mesh (https://www.dropbox.com/s/mnis1gm09h...ifurcation.PNG) I hope that you can help me with this. Thank you anyway for reading my question. |
