Hey guys,

I am doing a unsteady 2D analysis and I want to get the circulation values by integrating vorticity magnitude at a specified zone. Here is my geometry:

I want to plot the graph of circulation in the red rectangle. How should I define the zone of interest to take the surface integral of vorticity?

Should I do it by defining a new zone, line or a point?

Hi

I would recommend you to use CFD-Post. There is an option called clip plane I think. Sorry if this is not the exact name, I am not at my computer right now. Anyway, you can specify options like the size and position of this plane and then show the vorticity plot on this plane.

Regards

Thanks beer. I am going to try it.

A professor told me to use Tecplot. He said that he did similar things like I want to do.

I am going to try both and reply asap.

I am not very familiar with post processing in fluent (especially 2D), but I think a iso clip surface would do it in your case. The clip value is your mesh coordinate. Have a look at the postprocessing section in the fluent manual. It is mentioned there.
