Hi,
Working in parallel with the 6.3.26 version of Fluent-t8, with a mesh of 7,000,000 elements, read the mesh and perform the setting of the simulation correctly, but to make the run (iterations) do not work the 8 cores and takes so much! Someone pass the same? to that is the error? I hope their views Thank you very much |

It maybe you are not using parallel processing. try this: right click on fluent desktop icon, on the fluent path add -tn (n=no of processor in CPU, e.g. -t2). for my computer it's
C:\Fluent.Inc\ntbin\ntx86\fluent.exe -r6.3.26 2d -t3 you should insert this address C:\Fluent.Inc\ntbin\ntx86\fluent.exe -r6.3.26 2d -t8 If you are modeling 3d insert 3d |

Do you have academic license? Those have restrictions about number of nodes you could use.
Are you using any UDF? |

Thanks for the reply flow_CH.
Now I have the commands as you propose: C: \ Fluent.Inc \ ntbin \ win64 \ fluent.exe 3d-t8-r6.3.26 In fact, I made the partition in 8 correctly, starts with FMG perfect, but when iterating cores do not work. Any other ideas? |

Vasava: not an academic license should not have size limitation problem and do not use a UDF.
In addition, some upper size models working properly. Any other ideas? |

The model is of a complete vehicle, with ground and rolling wheels. It has two "porous volumes" that model the radiators.
