why you want to remove the shadow boundary. It has in fact a double sided wall (wall + wall shadow) when you have fluid on both sides of wall. So it is just normal to have shadow

I agree Far. Shadows walls are the normal case for fluid-solid contact zones.
In previous projects I had problems with damaged geometries, what leads to wrong boundary conditions. - Can you mention whats your geometry format or why you want to remove shadows? |
