Hi

I'm fairly new to FLUENT and I'm unsure about the force contour plots available in post processing and what they represent. It doesn't really make sense to me how force can be plotted over an area. Wouldn't it basically just be pressure? The force contours have units of Newtons though.

I've also compared force and pressure contours and found that in general, areas of high force have low pressures. That confused me even more!

Could someone please explain what the force contours represent and how Fluent determines/calculates these contours?

Thanks!
