semo is on a distinguished road
Hello,

I am modeling coal combustion with non-premixed combustion and dpm. I am checking fluxes after the calculation. Mass flow balances out and shows the correct flows including the coal particles. however, when I check the heat transfer it shows less heat input from the dpm. Coal flow is 400,000 lb/h (mass flow is correct) and Coal HHV is 10,000 btu/lb (this value entered in coal calculator) so I should have 4,000mmbtu/hr heat input from dpm. Instead it shows me only 1,000mmbtu/hr from dpm.

FYI I am providing more than enough air to complete the combustion.

Any ideas?

Thank you in advance.
