Hey guys!

I'm solving blood flow in tortuous coronary arteries usin Ansys 14.5 Fluent. I vary some mesh parameters and running different cases in batch mode from workbench parameters window. I need to export some data (.dat files) from fluent for each design point. I can export it for my current design point but I don't know how to export only this data for the rest of the design points. I always can export all the design points, including projects and all the files but it will be space consuming. Does anybody encountered such problem?

Thank you!

I am not sure what you mean by design point but lets assume that you want to export data for certain part of the domain. The only way (in my knowledge) is to create separate mesh for that part and use 'export data during calculation' option.

In Ansys Workbench design point is created for each new values of the set of the parameters, design point is equivalent to some fixed set of parameters.

The problem is that solution data should be exported in batch. I know how to export data for each design point but I can't parameterize this process to be able to run calculations in batch mode. I'm relatively new to CFD and I'm not using scripting but just gui which is probably not the easiest way to set parameters.

Did you try the 'parameter' option?

Do you mean this Mechanical APDL? never tried it. But it seems that is that I want, as I understood APDL gives more freedom and control on setting problem. So probably it the right time to learn it. Will try to figure out how it works and will let you know about how it is going. Thanks for idea

I have never used APDL. About the 'parameter' option, its been very long since I last used it. If I am not wrong, it should appear on the left panel (where you chose modules). Look for it in help section. I will go through old notes and let you know if I find something.
