Hi, everyone.
I wanna know if Fluent12.0 can simulate the reduction of iron ore.
In essence, it is a fixed-bed reactor which consists of the same size pellets. For simplification, I set all the pellets as sphere. The gas whose composition mainly is CO and N2 goes through the fixed-bed and reacts with pellets. Besides, I assume that the reduction reaction only occur at the surface(so I can choose 'particle surface').
Now, my problems are as follows:
1.How can I define iron ore? I only know when I define a new solid material, I can not enter its compositon (the ration of Fe2O3 and CaO).
2.For fixed-bed whose the volume fraction of solid phase obviously is larger than 10%, if I choose Eulerian Model, is it right?
