Dear friends
I am working on fluid structure interaction problem. I want to predict the vibrations produced in structure due to motion of fluid. Geometry is like this. We have a square plate on which holes were drilled. Through holes pipes are coming through it into cubical domain where fluid flows from one end to other end of cube. Because of motion of fluid, vibrations will develop in pipe which i want to predict. I am rather new to this type of problem. I know i can do it in ANSYS-CFX.. but i am quite familiar with fluent.. i have fluent 13 version. Can i do it in fluent. Also how can i predict vibration |

Yes you can predict vortex induced vibration with Fluent as well as CFX.

You'll need Fluent 14.0 or later, since 2-way FSI wasn't available before then.
