Hello there.
I am modelling a (spouted bed using a euler-euler granular model in Fluent 14. Even though I am following the model choice of some paper which can reproduce quite well the experimental data, I cannot obtain a correct jet regime. The authors of the experimental work state that the spouting regime starts around gas inlet velocity of 38 m/s, but in my simulation I cannot get any spouting. Using around 41 m/s, the gas barely penetrates the solid bed. Using 55 m/s, a bubbling regime happens. Any thoughts on it?? Thanks!! |

hi
i have a same problem,i want to modeling hydrodynamic of spouted bed my experimental reference is HE et al . diameter of inlet=19mm solid density=2500kg/m3 diameter of solid=1.41 mm inlet velocity=41 m/s H0=325mm H=1000mm initial volume fraction of solid=0.588 drag model= Gidaspow other Authors reach spouting, in my simulation I cannot get any spouting. did you solve your problem? can you help me? thank you in advance |
