Steady state simulation with transient partilcle tracking

I am doing multiphase coupled simulation in which the Fluid is solved using steady state approximation and the particles are tracked using lagrangian approach but using transient option in which all the particles are injected at the same time and tracked in time.
When I compare the results of this simulation with the results of steady state simulation in which particles are also tracked as steady, I see a big difference in the two simulation results. Both simulations should give me similar results but they don't. The difference in the heat and mass transfer between the two phases in both simulations is quite large. Does any one know why is that so? |

Interesting. So after you solver your flow in steady state, do you turn on unsteady and solve flow, turbulence and inject particles? Or do you turn off the equations for flow?

The solver for continuous phase is steady throughout the simulation but the discrete phase is tracked using lagrangian unsteady particle tracking option, that allows all the injected particles to be tracked in time instead of tracking one-by-one in steady tracking option.
