Hi,

I want to simulate fluid flow in a new designed solid structure. However, when I import the geometry into FLUENT, I can't find method to define the space inside as the fluid. Hope someone can teach me how to figure that.

Thanks.

By the way, if you want to simulate fluid flow in a complex tube, which geometry structure would you draw, fluid or surrounding solid?

Fluid.
You mean porous media?
In porous media approach there is no need of seeing the solid zone, it will be just modeld and you can see the porous zone effects in equations.

Thanks, Saeed

Actually it's a chamber with one face as diaphragm. Force will deform the diaphragm so that cause the fluid flow in the chamber. solid.JPG
I try to use ANSYS to simulate the deformation of the diaphragm and use it as an input to simulate fluid flow in FLUENT. However, it seems I can't link these two projects together. Could you pls give me some advice? Thanks.
