There was a question already in this topic. I am trying to choose an appropriate model for simulating radiation. The criteria for selection is by calculating optical thickness. but how do we calculate optical thickness for a thermal radiation HVAC problem? There are so many formulae on the internet and none of them are clear to me. Please kindly help. I am sure this thread will be revisited by many others in future.
Thanking you, rsslnt |

You can find it here in Ansys Fluent 14 or others

Thank you for the reply. Actually I have already checed it. It doesn't say anything about how to calculate optical thickness. It only shows which model we should select for what values of optical thickness.
