Hi everyone,
I'm actually doing FLUENT simulations. As few licenses are available, I wonder if we can automatically close Fluent software at the end of a simulation. I know we can save data automatically, but how to quit the software ? Of course I want to define "the end of the simulation" (numbers of iterations, when convergence is reached, etc...) Does anyone know how to do that ? Thanks in advance, Regards, Ragnar |

I think you should write a journal to do the simulation (i.e. after saving all the setting). Just write it in notepad, then save it as FILENAME.jou and then open in fluent as journal file " /file/read-case-data Yourfilename /solve/dual-time-iterate Nooftimesteps /file/write-case-data Youfilename /exit ok " I hope your query is solved. if you need more help please ask regards, Smaras |

And sorry forgot you can add more simulation as well so it will do simulation in series. For that you have to add more read command of your .cas file before /exit command.

Thank you ! it works well.
There is just something wrong (maybe because of the Fluent version) : " /file/read-case-data Yourfilename /solve/iterate Nooftimesteps /file/write-case-data Youfilename ok /exit ok " I used "iterate" instead of "dual-time-iterate" And the "ok" is needed in order to erase/save the file (if you save in the same directory).
