Hi,

I'm having problem to plot the contour of dynamic viscosity in the FLUENT result, since I couldn't find the variable of dynamic viscosity from the options. I am doing the simulation on the blood in coronary artery by applying magnetic field using MHD module.

I've found that there is dynamic viscosity variable in the result if you are using CFX, but I am not sure with FLUENT.

I really hope that someone could help me. Thank you.

Cheers.

In fluent go to Define> Custom Field Functions/Variables....there you can define any quantity of your choice and then view its contours

Hi,

Thanks for your help. I did try to define the viscosity using the tab Define-> Custom Field Function. Then I click the Define button (but I'm not sure whether to click Define or Manage, so I proceed with Define button). But then I could not find the variable that I have defined earlier in the CFD Post.

I hope that you could help me about this.

1. click on "Graphics and Animations"
2. under Graphics select Contours then click "Set Up"
3. Contours of "Properties" then select "Molecular Viscosity"
4. change levels as you prefer then "compute" and "display"

It could be useful if you are looking for a contour and don't need to operate with viscosity values.

Hi, working with my simulation i've found what cfd seeker has sayd.

After "Define-> Custom Field Function" you have to select Properties and then Molecular Viscosity. Once you did it, click on "select", set a name for your function and then click "define".
Then you have to go to "Run Calculation", select "Data File Quantities" and then select your function in the right column.
Once you did this procedure you can go in CFD-Post and you will find your function in the contourn plot avaible variables.

Hope this will be useful to someone.
