Transition SST tuning using UDFs

Dea all,
I'm doing some experiments with transition SST model and I would like to tune it using UDFs since it's not working really well for my case. I read the fluent manual (https://www.sharcnet.ca/Software/Flu...udf/node53.htm) and I saw that it's possible to set values for Re_{Theta_t}, F_{length} and Re_{Theta_c}. What is not clear to me is how those quantities are defined. Is for example F_{length} a length in meters? Is it a non dimensional vlaue? And if yes how it is non-dimensionalized? Same thing for the Reynolds numbers above. What are the quantities used in the definition of them according to Fluent? The manual is not really helpful for this case because it says that Re_{Theta_t}, F_{length} and Re_{Theta_c} are proprietary correlations that are not shown for obvious reasons in the manual. Help is really appreciated. Thanks a lot Rob |

Hi Rob
I'm having simmilar issues as you had. Did you get answers to your questions? If so I would really like to get an explination about the UDF parameters. Heini |

Hi Heini,
unfortunately I never had any reply to my message. I simply gave up with that approach. Let me know please if you discover anything useful Cheers, Rob |
