Is Geo reconstruct scheme available for only 2 phases?

Hi
Under (VOF) multiphase model in Fluent, can't we use geometric reconstruction scheme (for volume fraction) for more than two phases? I tried it, but it was not available for 3 phases. Instead, I used Modified HRIC scheme. thanks in advance. /Sachin |

Agree, I faced the same problem when I tried 3-phase flow with geo-reconstruction scheme. When the two sceondary phases merge, the contours of mixed phases are in a disorder, the interphase has singularities.

The Geometric Reconstruction Scheme
In the geometric reconstruction approach, the standard interpolation schemes that are used in FLUENT are used to obtain the face fluxes whenever a cell is completely filled with one phase or another. when the cell is near the interface between two phases, the geometric reconstruction scheme is used. |
