Could you elaborate little more on porous media model? Do you mean Carman-Kozeny or Ergun or some other? Do note that Fluent already incorporates a porous media model. You can use it for 2D as well as 3D.

Thank you, sir, for responding. In our model, we have considered the evaporation and condensation process simultaneously. We are simulating the porous wick in the loop heat pipe.

EC model is separate from porous media. You can use EC model and porous zone in a single case. What I do not understand is your requirement for a UDF. Since both are available within Fluent as inbuilt models, you might be able to directly use those.

However, as far as wick modeling is concerned, it is not easy. There is a considerable amount of physics with myriad of phenomena to be considered.
