hello there
I'm trying to do an internal flow computation. my geom is a simple pipe that flow inter from one side and go out from another side (geom was attached bellow) I'm using k omega SST model in fluent . and there is my other condition: my solver is steady pressure based, Yplus<1 , using a coupled scheme for pressure velocity coupling (courant number is set to 20) and ideal gas as a fluid . i used mass flow and inlet velocity would arrived to 120m/s therefore i set operating pressure to 0 and use a total pressure at inlet(115000pa) and outlet(110000pa). my wall temperature is 500k and inlet temperature is 350 . i used pressure outlet for outlet boundary and . my mesh condition is : i used o grade and quality : 0.7 max skew : 0.25 max aspect : 98 and there is my NU contour was attached bellow my solve is converged to 1e-05 but i have an over prediction at inlet i dont know why?? could anyone help me please? p s : if i use course mesh at wall and use a wall function i wouldn't have this problem but because of some reason i should do it with k omega thank for any hints geom.jpg nus conture.jpg Last edited by mehran.mo; November 20, 2018 at 16:40. |
