Hello everyone.

I'm trying to run a simulation where an UDF is involved and I can't make it run.

I attach the files in this LINK
It includes the .cas file and a library .dll.

They come from a paper https://doi.org/10.1016/j.ijheatmass...er.2010.08.024 where a thermoelectric UDF is developed within ANSYS Fluent. In the appendix says that it contains the required files to work in Fluent 12 directly.

I create my case and place the library in C:\Users\pxxxxxxxx\Documents\TEG\libudf\win64\3d , which I think is the right place. I have also tried with no success placing it into the root of the case.
I've been prompted in this error every time I start this simulation.

Code:
Opening library "C:\Users\pxxxxxxxx\Documents\TEG\libudf"...
Error: Error code: 193

Error: Error code: 193\n
Error Object: #f
I've been reading many posts here Post1 Post2 Post3 ... and no solution given there solves my problem.

I would like, first of all, someone to test that file to know if it works. It is cool stuff so I think you will enjoy trying it

I'm running on Visual Studio Express 2015 and launch Fluent from VS2015 x86 x64 Cross Tools Command Prompt. I can run and build all the tutorials so I think my compilation environment is OK. My PC is Windows 10 Pro 64bits. My Fluent version is 17.1.

Any suggestion or test will be welcomed.

Thank you.

Edit:
I solved it, 32 bits system was the key.

Can you please explain how did you overcome that problem.. ? I have similar error ... In the end you mentioned "32 bit system was the key". Did you converted it or something else ?

Nope, I found a 32 bit version and installed it over a virtual machine.
