Hi, everyone,
I am new to CFD and this forum. I am trying to use Fluent to simulate the vibration wall. It is a reciprocating movement. At first, i use DEFINE_CG_MOTION macro to simulate the entie wall's reciprocating movement. and it works. But, later, when i use the DEFINE_PROFILE to define the wall's different vibration amplitude along the wall and use the DEFINE_CG_MOTION to simulate the wall's reciprocating movement. The UDF didnot work anymore. so, i want to ask if there is some problems with my UDF or I used improper macros? if so, what should i do? attachment is the UDF that i was write. |

Hello!
Frankly speaking, I didn't use mesh motion. But it seems to me, that you are trying to move nodes of the same boundary to the different distances. Could it be the problem? Best regards |

I mean, that it looks like it is impossible to move nodes of the same boundary on different distances.
If you have a wall with 3 nodes (for example) A-B-C -> you can't move A on +1; B on -1 and C on +0.1. On the other hand you may translate A-B-C nodes to +1, or rotate them on the same angle. However, this is my vision, may be I'm wrong. I think you should check it. Best regards. |
